After many years working in education, public relations, and marketing consulting, Carollyne came to her calling as an Alberta Marriage Commissioner in 1999. Over the years, she has met with hundreds of couples--writing the book You Can Write "I Do" and More... in response to many of their questions about marriage. Carollyne is a life member of a Calgary Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She is also a past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Calgary.

Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Carollyne lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Vancouver, British Columbia, before settling in Calgary, Alberta, in the 1970s. While Carollyne fondly considers Alberta her home, her career in training and marketing have taken her on numerous adventures across Canada and much of the United States. She has also travelled throughout the British Isles, France, Italy, Mexico, and the Caribbean--collecting turtle ornaments as a symbolic reminder of the importance of having patience and being well organized. Today, Carollyne enjoys golfing and, when time permits, travelling to warm ocean climates.

In addition to bringing couples together in matrimony, Carollyne is an accredited Funeral Celebrant. She believes every life should be memorialized through a funeral or memorial service.
